MaxxStrip™
ia a pH neutral, water-soluble blasting abrasive. It has a
bulk density of 90 lbs/cu.ft which is similar in weight to silica sand. The
specific gravity is 2.6 Mohs and hardness is 3.5. The color is beige to
almost white. MaxxStrip™ is sold in three basic size graduations: Fine
(60-80 Mesh), Medium (40-60 Mesh), and Course (20-40 Mesh).
MaxxStrip™
is environmentally sound. It is easy to clean up and will not
damage or kill vegetation. It will not corrode copper, brass or aluminum
substances.
MaxxStrip™
has worker safety in mind. It is non-sparking, non-toxic,
non-irritating, and silica free. There are no solvents or caustic chemicals
in MaxxStrip™.
MaxxStrip™is effective and quick. It is the first soft
abrasive that is capable of removing coatings, mill scale and medium to
heavy rust scale without harming the substrate. It is safe to use around
rotating equipment, bearings and sliding mechanisms. It cleans, removes
paints and degreases in one step without shutting down process streams.
MaxxStrip™is being used in low, high, and ultra high water blasting
systems. Use of MaxxStrip™in these systems will result in much higher
production rates than water only systems.
The MaxxStrip™ and SOFSTRIP
BLAST MEDIA are processed and blended water soluble abrasives that
incorporate two hydrophobic (water repellant) flow aids for maximum shelf
life and extended performance in pressure vessels. They are used extensively
for general cleaning and paint removal in a wide variety of commercial and
industrial applications. Both water soluble abrasives can be used in
pneumatic systems and in low (500 PSI) to ultra high (40,000 PSI) water
blast systems. Both are environmentally friendly and non sparking. Degreases
and removes paint in one step. The MaxxStrip™ and SOFSTRIP BLAST MEDIA are
fast, cost effective methods for cleaning and surface preparation.
